'Bonnie was always there, supporting me at every step along the way'.
Hello! I’m Bonnie, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I live in the heart of North Norfolk with my husband, two children, and two cats, in the community where I grew up.
Through my own experiences, including the powerful and transformative births of my children, the transition into motherhood and the death of my mother in my early 20's, I have learnt so much about the monumental impact that life's transitions can have, not only on individuals but also on families and future generations.
My doula work is built on a deep desire to help others. After training as a Speech and Language Therapist, I spent many years working in the medical setting, where I learned valuable skills in communication, team work, advocacy, and holding space for difficult conversations. While I found great satisfaction in my work, I became frustrated by the limitations of a system that couldn’t meet the full spectrum of people’s needs.
Becoming a doula happened naturally. I started supporting friends and family, sitting with them in moments of joy, sorrow, and everything in between. I learned that healing can come from simply being heard, cared for and respected. Birth and death, though intense, can be profound, peaceful, and even beautiful, when approached with care, sensitivity and reverence.
Two years after leaving my permanent NHS position my Doula business thrives and I’m often booked well in advance. If you’d like to discuss how I can support you, please book a discovery call.
I bring a calm, grounding, and reassuring presence, and I’m proud to build deep trust with the families I work with. My priority is always to respect your individual needs, values, and desires.
As your Doula, it is my honor to hold space during tender moments. I will support you to feel at the center of your experience, and confident in your decisions. You deserve a safe space to process your hopes, fears, dreams, and worries, without judgment or reservation, and i provide that safe space.
